Curry was not hot. Did you choose the hotness?
Great restaurant. Authentic Infian food. Wonderful host. Our party of 15 couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.
Delicious, best Italian food in Tokyo. Really interesting interior too
Most Indian restaurants look like a cafeteria, but this one offers a really cosy and well furnished decoration. Good to take you time and discover the menu. Thr owner, who speaks well English, will help you choose, or insist on some of his recommendations! Good food for a very reasonable prices as well.
The ambience makes the food feel more authentic.
Cosy. Small space, you may have to reserve in advance. Have to walk stairs to reach the location.Pros:Food quality : Good. Ask for spice set (complimentary) if you are after Indian sidedishes (pickle, chutney)Decor: Excellent.Music selection: Good. Nice to see an Indian restaurant not playing Bollywood/movie songs but playing instrumental music instead.Cons:Service: Only one person seems to manage everything, your request for attention may take time to be fulfilled.Chairs: Immovable.Space is small- you can hear when the owner is speaking/scolding the cooks.
What a beautiful hideaway filled with so many gorgeous things, delicious food and an engaging, fascinating owner. A delight to discover!
Perhaps the most elaborately decorated Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The staff was excellent, and the food was too. Fantastic curry and naan. We just happened to stumble upon this place on our way to another restaurant. Needless to say, we didn’t even bother with the other restaurant because this place was such a gem. Highly recommended for an amazing Indian dining experience!!
Great atmosphere and charm of the restaurant. Friendly staff with excellent English and most importantly: delicious food! Enjoy!
Amazing food, outstanding service and incredible decorate, soooo authentic. If you want a real Indian experience while in Tokyo - eat here. The price is great too and the owner comes personally to each table and checks on you. We will definitly be back for more.
The most beautiful indian kareya san i have been in japan
Wow! The restaurant is beautiful, incredible! And the cooking was delicious, not so spicy like I enjoy. And the nan! Impressive and tasty. One of the better Indian "adapted to foreign taste for spicy level" I ever gone
Delicious food, unique décor, and exceptional service!
best indian food in tokyo, mark my words!!!!! owner is a lovely feller as well and offers insights into the menu and where certain food comes from. interior is so nice as well, would 100% recommend!!!
Very lovingly decorated little restaurant serving good Indian food.
Very traditional and authentic Indian restaurant that had a really great atmosphere. The food was amazing I loved every bite!!! I had the chicken masala with naan and it was so delicious and packed with flavour. Would recommend going for sure!
10/10 - IGNOkay, no joking. This is THE most aesthetic and delicious Indian restaurant in Tokyo. It has almost 20 years history, every piece of furniture they had it delivered from India. Sure the place is small, but that's why it's so cozy and comfortable for you to enjoy your food there. Curry (gasp), is on point. I'm vegetarian, so I've only had the veggie ones, but they are all delightful, I bet the chicken one is even better. And if you decided to try something spicy, just order whatever curry you want and ask them to make it extra spicy (they have a ranking system, rank 5 is the spiciest), then, here is the essential part, order their cheese Nan. That's the most unforgettable experience you'll ever have.Plus, they use real flowers/herbs for decoration!!!! How can you not love this place?
It was wonderful, unique place. Recommend for a date. But most of groups were girls. Even he offered a cup of tea for free. I guessed because we were staying so long lol It was nice gesture anyway for putting positive image of them. When he made mistake with calculation, he fixed rightaway and gave a little bit of discount. I enjoyed my time with cousin. It costs around 2000~2500Â¥ for a person.
Great experience! Don't be fooled by the overwhelming amount of furniture as you enter the restaurant. It may seem a bit packed but you'll get used to it. The service was fast and the waiters were friendly. They can speak English well. They even served us free tea on the house. Their curry is really good and was affordable too!
Fantastic place with beautiful features and decorations from India. The service is perfect and the food is delightful. Greatest indian food I have ever ate.
My partner and me have really enjoyed this restaurant. The interior design is brilliant and accurate. The food was perfect and different from the other restaurants, more personalized. The owner is really professional and friendly but I felt he was reproaching one of his staff in front of us talking in Indian, I felt sad for that but eventually we had a good experience.
Very delicious curry and nan!! Kind owner. Very near Yanaka dandan.
need an AC, i think. But still the food is really good here. Keep it up!!! I'll come next time I visit Tokyo
This is an excellent Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and they have non spicy food. Also the staff speak English.
Food is tasty and the prices are fair.
Amazing ambiance and service. My only issue was that the food was a bit too sweet, rather than spicy. My girlfriend thought it was the best Indian food ever, though, and would have given five stars.
Impressively delicious ! Must oder naan which is a great combination with Indian sauce.
This little Indian restaurant is the perfect place to go. Fill with plenty of life treasures you will feel like home as soon as you walk in. The food was delicious as expected and our waiter explain all the meal and respond to all our question. We took an appetizer and two mains meal with the bun with a glass of the house wine ( hot wine ) and two drinks for less than 50$ (USD). If you have the chance take the detour and go stop at Darjeeling. Even if it’s only for a Tea ! It was a perfect discovery during our time in Tokyo.
Exquisitely decorated place and delicious food!! Rashshu and chicken tikka are highly recommended ones.
Delicious food. Amazing service!
A beautiful and good Indian restaurant in a wonderful neighbourhood. As soon as you cross the door you are transported in India! Perhaps the ambience is a little bit too full of decoration, but the end effect is that it is very cosy.As always, Indian restaurant is a fantastic rescue fir vegetarians. The quality of the food is superb and very authentic. The portions are very generous. The staff is very kind, courteous and helpful. Prices according to quality, quantity and service. When in Tokyo I will certainly return here.
Possibly my favourite restaurant in Japan. The loveliest owner speaks Japanese and English and his staff are also nice and friendly. The food is incredible and can be adapted to your diet or allergies, as the owner is vegan and understanding of different diets. Most, if not all, of the food and drink is made in-house each day, including the most delicious lassi and Masala wine <3 The scenery and atmosphere is beautiful, and I bring everyone here. 11/10
Perfection. Utter perfection. The staff are incredible, the decorations make me feel like I have gone straight into a story book. I have never fallen more in love with a restaurant. If you only eat in one place in Japan, let it be here.
If you want truly fine authentic Indian food, this is the place. The decor is overwhelmingly wonderful, full of all manner of Indian and Hindu artwork. The food was very high quality and some of the best Indian food we have tasted. The servers are gracious and patient despite their limited English speaking ability. We had garlic naan, masala chicken, mixed grill, chai and pistachio cake. I recommend you try this restaurant.
It is a really cosy place and we had one of the best indish meals ever. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. The main courses were delicious and the desert, the lassi and the tea even better. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Wow, what a surprise. Absolutely amazingly beautiful, fabulous Indian flavours.
Even though we didn't have a reservation, the owner was really nice and gave us complimentary tea for waiting. The atmosphere is very cozy without being awkward, the ambience very unique. I'll definitely be going back for that chicken marsala and naan
Beautiful atmosphere, perfect service, and curry that is both delicious and authentic. One of my favourite restaurants
Great little chain serving excellent food in a great atmosphere.
This restaurant is amazing!!! The food is the best Indian food I've ever had! I never would have thought I'd have to go to Tokyo to find Indian food that good. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is beyond compare. We had to sit and wait for a table to open up, but the waiting area itself was nicer than the best most other restaurants have to offer. I can't over state this, the atmosphere here was better than any restaurant I've ever been too. Combined with the food and hospitality I can't recommend it enough! Eat there, you won't be disappointed.
I have to give it kind of low four stars because of the prices and the location, which Google Maps did not help. Very nice upscale atmosphere, and seems pretty busy, even though the prices are on the higher side. Would be good to bring a date to impress, but for myself for a light lunch it seems a bit much. (Actually picked it because the other local candidate was apparently vegetarian, according to Google Maps.)
Very accommodating. Worked to seat our large party quickly. Delicious lassi drinks. My favorite was the banana. The butter chicken was great. I highly recommend the cheese nan. It was a delicious experience. We poked the top and steam streamed out. Amazing!
One if the best Indian restaurant in Tokyo.
Hiden gem in this endless sea, that's Tokyo. That's the best way to describe this amazing restaurant. Just don't get confused with the other two indian restaurant with the same name.
One of the best Indian Restaurants I've been to. The owner is really energetic and nice. Food tastes good.
Food is very good. The atmosphere is just amazing! Don't hesitate to stop over at Darjeeling !
